Cuba”s UN permanent representative, Anayansi Rodríguez, spoke today of the island”s achievements and experiences on women empowering, in the continuation here of the Commission for Legal and Social Condition of Women.
On the third day of the 61st Meeting of the Commission, the ambassadress emphasized that the island’s Constitution recognizes genre equality and women’s political and socio economic rights.
She also highlighted her Government’s political will and commitment to fully include women in all fields despite the hostile economic, commercial and financial blockade the United States has imposed for half a century.
